Am riding high on the wave of nostalgia.Too nostalgic about the times gone by.Pondering about how our lives have changed in the past years, I realized we have left so many things behind... No more of waking up to Vande Mataram or Saare Jahaan se Accha on Doordarshan.News is no more at fixed times only,its available where you like it.T.V. isnt about Jabaan Sambhal ke,Superhit muquabla or Humlog anymore. Gone are the days when going out was going to the park with family.Having sukha bhel was a treat.An occasional Pepsi or Goldspot was a thing to brag about.Going to cinema or circus was a big deal. We have lost the romance in waiting for a long distance call and a letter reply.The romance in making and writing one... The time when we actually knew our neighbors.The time when socialising was not done on facebook or twitter.it was face to face.When friendship did not begin with a friend request..  The time when a kid could be lured back to the house just by a "Jaleb

This post is totally inspired by this note i was tagged in on facebook. I loved it so much that i couldn't resist sharing it. This week of june is the "school reopening week".Every mall,supermarket and stationery store will tell you its time to go back to school.Everywhere you look around you see excited kids piking up new "dabbas" for recess,new waterbottles,compass boxes,school bags,rainy shoes and what not. Its that time of the year when you buy everything new.new books are bought and read purely out of excitement.All this is just the preparation bit.schools have not yet begun... Then comes the big day.First day of school.new classrooms,classmates,class teachers...!!
