My dignity and pride...

Image
I was a little girl living in a world so pure and without any lies, A day came and I was no longer the girl with innocent eyes. You ripped apart my clothes aiming to take away my dignity, I resisted all I could but, my physical strength failed compared to your insanity. I couldn't understand then what was happening to me, I only saw a known face, But the animal behind it, I couldn't see. You got your pleasure and fulfilled your greed and lust, Leaving me there in pain, and a shattered trust. The wounds given by you on the surface have healed, Its the wounds inside that still hurt and profusely bleed. These wounds won't go away, no matter how much I tried, But, I will smile again as I will always have in me, My dignity and pride.

Irony!

He loves me. I believe him. She says she loves him too. He doesn't believe her since he found another man in her bed. Who am I ? I am the other woman in the "marriage".

Love is a funny thing...

Image
You fall in it with a sigh,  Always with a hope to rise high,  All you hear, then, is its calling,  But beware as they say, Love is a funny thing! Ignoring you go on, in a direction unknown,  You wonder, till now, how did you stay alone,  It captures your mind, only love songs do you sing,  Already forgotten that,  Love is a funny thing! Perfect or imperfect as the situation maybe,  It's not all rosy, time makes you see,  Not just happiness but sorrow too it brings,  Maybe its true that,  Love is a funny thing! What makes it worth are the happy times,  So, you start making lemonade of the given lime,  Together or apart, you find the feeling fulfilling,  You finally realize, that,  Love truly is a funny thing !

Final goodbye..

"I tried. But nothing is working anymore and I can't see you like this." He tried to justify. She didn't react.  He looked at her, with tears in his eyes, also with the last shreds of hope. But he should have known better. She still didn't budge, not even now, not even as they said their final goodbye... "I am sorry" he said as he watched them unplug the ventilator.

Gift of Gyaan.

October brings along a great opportunity for all to play a small part in a huge cause i.e. education of the underprivileged children. Gyaan exchange , a start-up company, in association with its NGO partner  Goonj  has organised a BOOK COLLECTION DRIVE in all the major metros of India until 10th October, 2012. Gyaan exchange is an online community where anybody with a skill, knowledge or idea can teach and anyone with a desire to gain knowledge can learn new things. Gyaan exchange aims to collect at least 500 books through this drive and has volunteered to give them to their NGO partner Goonj.  Goonj works as a medium in channelizing the unused materials lying idle in our urban homes to far flung villages where people don’t have access to the basic essentials for living. If you have any questions about the NGO, you can find your answers  here . All you have to do to make a contribution is go to your book shelves, pick up the books you know you are never going to r
