"Say you love me"

They slept close.Slowly, his hand slid inside her clothes. She didn't react, pretended to sleep. He touched her and it made her face him.She opened her mouth to ask but his lips stopped her.Withdrawing, he asked her, "say you love me", she could just nod.She does not remember what happened next except the excruciating pain enough to bring tears in her eyes.

Next morning she asked him "I told you I love you then why did you hurt me bhaiya?"

This post is an attempt to highlight the fact that child abuse is not something that happens in others houses only.It could be happening right under our noses, making us ignorant. It is not something to be ashamed of and swept under the carpet in the name of society. With a little awareness from our side, we can make sure that it doesn't hurt to be a child.

  8. I've heard of this happening to a very close frnd... sisterly love n embarrassment keeps her frm tellin parents/others... while a brother whom she ties rakhi every yr, who's supposed to protect her frm others misbehaving with her, does it himself anyway! It's not just disturbing, it's disgusting!!!

A bold post... i wish this awareness spreads!

    1. Hope he realizes his mistake and loves her unconditionally now on. I think your friend should forget it and treat him as good brother.

    2. @Pranita : it truly is disgusting. Your friend is one of many who are abused by someone they trust. How can somebody betray the trust of someone close to them.!

@Raja : its easier said than done. If suggesting would be the ideal solution then there would be nothing to worry about this menace.

    3. Well, I don't have a solution for this problem. This is a very very sensitive issue(too much attention to it may harm bro-sis relationship). But Pranita's friend and her bro can start a normal relationship. Better late than never. Just a suggestion in this case. In the end, it's upto them.

  27. parents should have a knowledge of these because when it happens with the child he or she can't make it out. they may feel trapped or because of fear they accept it in silence. the great solution can be, Maintain a healthy environment in home, try to imbibe good thoughts in children and a friendly connection between parents and children.
yeah it was thought provoking post.

    1. The biggest step before putting these thoughts into action is acceptance.People need to be open minded and accept it.

  28. That shocked me. Your commentators are right. In this day and age, parents have no excuse if they aren't vigilant. They should be aware of what's going on with their kids and should teach them about "bad touching" and "good touching" in very gentle language so that the kids become aware when there's danger.

  33. So much said in so few words. Horrifying, sickening, awful, gross it is but it also is the truth which is happening around us. A majority of child abusers are not strangers but from within the family. If the parents don't accept this fact and keep their eyes and ears open then such cases will keep on happening.
