First shower and then some...
It was the first shower of the season.
After praying hard for over 2 months, the Rain Gods had finally relented and had showered their blessings.I am an avid lover of monsoons. To me its the season of romance and nostalgia.Recollecting old memories over chai is what i love to do.Also, being perched up on the window sill with a cup of steaming hot chocolate and a book which is mostly a love story. Also going out on long drives with him.But he was away at office with no scope of leaving. So the latter wasn't going to happen.
So here i was, at home, soaking up the lovely weather,in the company of hot chocolate and a book in which a loving husband had left for a journey into eternity, leaving love letters for his wife to read and move on in life without him. Each letter had a P.S and it said "I love you".Its one of my favorite books and always make me sappy. So the mood was set, i was ready to go and sappy journey all alone.
Just then, he called.
"Come downstairs, i am waiting for you"
"What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be at work?"
"Quit the questions! just come down ! "
"Ok! Give me a few minutes. Will be there"
After that out of the blue phone call, i changed and left. There he was, in his car.I sat in the car and he started driving.
"First tell me, What are you doing here ? You told me a while back, you won't be able to leave for another 3 hours, how did you land up here??"
"I couldn't afford to miss spending the first showers with you"
And there it was, the answer to all my questions. My day was suddenly a lot better.
Surprises from him are unlikely, so that just added to my bliss.
It didn't matter, where we went or what we did.The magician had played his trick and i had fallen hook, line and sinker for it!
You're a man of few words,
But, I'm little loquacious.
Fearing my utterance of useless words,
Project me as flirtatious.
So, the less words I want,
Can you help me, please?
Or else I'll say love you,
Every time I breathe!
