Final goodbye..
"I tried. But nothing is working
anymore and I can't see you like this." He tried to justify.
She didn't react.
He
looked at her, with tears in his eyes, also with the last shreds of hope. But he
should have known better.
She still didn't
budge, not even now, not even as they said their final goodbye...
"I am
sorry" he said as he watched them unplug the ventilator.
Incredibly poignant. Ageless pain narrated in five lines
ReplyDeleteThank you Anupam!
DeleteSo many things in few lines.
ReplyDeleteImportant thing about the story,i feel,is that reader should not be able to interpret the end of the story. And you kept it very well. Every line make you interpret a different story and in the end, it something very unexpected.
Incredibly brilliant !!!
