Ram wouldn't have liked it !

Image
Ram gave us two occasions to celebrate and go crazy ; Diwali and Dasera. Both are celebrated because they signify the victory of good over evil. The reality today is something else. Diwali, also known as the festival of lights, is celebrated as the day Ram, Sita and Lakshman were welcomed back by the people of Ayodhya who lit diyas to welcome back their king after 14 years of vanvas. And thus its Diwali. If only Ram had heard a "rassi" or atom or whatever the green role bomb is called going off, he would have gone back to the "vann", craving its peace. The people then knew better. And we, who are supposedly "evolved" beings, have lost it.

Little things matter...

This post isn't written by me.I found it on the internet and was so enamored that i had to share it here. When I got home that night as. .. my wife served dinner, I held her hand and said, I’ve got something to tell you. She sat down and ate quietly. Again I observed the hurt in her eyes. Suddenly I didn’t know how to open my mouth. But I had to let her know what I was thinking. I want a divorce. I raised the topic calmly. She didn’t seem to be annoyed by my words, instead she asked me softly, why?

First shower and then some...

It was the first shower of the season. After praying hard for over 2 months, the Rain Gods had finally relented and had showered their blessings.I am an avid lover of monsoons. To me its the season of romance and nostalgia.Recollecting old memories over chai is what i love to do.Also, being perched up on the window sill with a cup of steaming hot chocolate and a book which is mostly a love story. Also going out on long drives with him.But he was away at office with no scope of leaving. So the latter wasn't going to happen. So here i was, at home, soaking up the lovely weather,in the company of hot chocolate and a book in which a loving husband had left for a journey into eternity, leaving love letters for his wife to read and move on in life without him. Each letter had a P.S and it said "I love you".Its one of my favorite books and always make me sappy. So the mood was set, i was ready to go and sappy journey all alone. Just then, he called.

RIP Steve Jobs.

Steve Jobs (1955 - 2011) passed away on 5th October, 2011.Half the world heard the sad news on the devices he was instrumental in making. The enigma only recently started interesting me enough to find more about him.As a matter of fact, after his resignation as the CEO of Apple Inc. did i start reading up on him.I read as much as i could lay my hands on and i was completely in awe. Very few people come along who can truthfully say they made a difference to the whole world. The genius the world just lost was one of them. Some were a fan of the devices he made, some of his values and some, like me, of the enigma himself.

All it took was an embrace...

My mind is playing games with me I asked it to stay still for a while But, today it is as playful as a kid, one thought after another, from the huge pile! I noticed him standing close, mind stopped playing as  heart increased its pace, The world ceased to exist, And all it took was an embrace!
